Carolina Ballet presents The Little Mermaid

Carolina Ballet is very excited to embark upon a new world-premiere ballet set to the story of Hans Christian Andersen’s The Little Mermaid featuring live music with a new score from composer Aaron Severini. Different from previously presented Mermaid program, this version will feature brand-new sets and costumes. The production will surely dazzle audiences, and it will appeal to both the first-time attendee and the sophisticated ballet-goer as well.

Raleigh St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival

Downtown will come alive with Irish tradition as the 40th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade takes over the City of Oaks. Raleigh’s parade is a celebration for all ethnic groups and cultures, to share in ‘being Irish for the day’.
The parade kicks off at 10:00AM on the west side of the State Capitol Building, at the intersection of Hillsborough and Salisbury Streets, going around the State Capitol, turning onto Fayetteville Street and ending at Lenoir Street. This year, there won’t be motorized vehicles but will celebrate true Irish spirit with Dancers, Marching Bands, Skaters, lots of dogs and much more! Fun for all ages !
